Contribute to the Database

You can contribute to the project by filling out a questionnaire for a language of your choice. (Don't worry if a report already exists for your language. The more data we make available, the better.)

The Questionnaire

The questionnaire asks for information about the language's typological profile (morpho-syntax, complementation patterns, etc.) as well as specific data documenting the control patterns in the language. First download the questionnaire (formatted as a .doc for use with MS Word or your favorite word processor). When you have completed the questionnaire (or filled out as much of it as you can), submit it via email to Shin Fukuda.

What happens next

After we receive your report, we'll edit it for typos and for clarity. (We will not be checking the validity of the data or assessing your theoretical approach.)

Then we'll publish a copy on our server to make it accessible to search engines (like Google), and we'll load a copy into our database to make it available from our Web site. We'll let you know when your work has been added to the site.

Copyright

As the author of your work, you retain the copyright to it. That work, however, is made publicly available (via the Web) for scholarly use by researchers around the world.

Technical Specifications

You don't need any special software (beyond a text processor and an email clilent) to fill out the questionnaire. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Webmaster for help.
